Individual and Group Coaching

Coaching for Attorneys, By People Who Get It

Not therapy, yet incredibly therapeutic.

Confidential, evidence-based coaching for legal professionals, either one-on-one or for broader restorative team engagement. Select from a roster of professional coaches, all of whom are also physicians, attorneys, and psychologists, and experts in toxic stress, each with decades of experience.

Not Generic Coaching. Legal-Specific and Built on Science.

Attorney burnout is not a motivation problem, and it does not respond to motivation techniques. It is a physiological state: a nervous system held in chronic activation by adversarial work, relentless deadlines, and secondary exposure to clients' trauma. AWP coaching starts from that science. Coaches trained in the TIPC framework work with what is actually happening in your brain and body, then build the professional changes on top of it.

Why the legal-specific part matters. A coach who has never carried a caseload will coach you toward generic balance. A bench built from the profession coaches you inside its real constraints: billables, trial calendars, client emergencies, ethical constraints, and the (often) adversarial nature of the job itself.

How It Works

One-on-One

Individual Coaching

Confidential engagements for burnout recovery, leadership transition, returning from leave, or building a sustainable practice before the wheels come off. You choose your own coach from the full roster. Our psychologists and physicians have coached professionals and lawyers for decades, so a public defender can select someone who knows criminal practice and a managing partner can select someone who has led. Prefer a recommendation? Ask us to match you based on your needs, or try a single discovery call to be sure the fit is right.

Small Cohorts Group Coaching & Restorative Team Engagement

Group Coaching

Cohort-based coaching with peers who face the same pressures. The small-group format adds the one thing individual coaching cannot: the discovery that you are not the only one, and a professional community that outlasts the program. Restorative Team Engagement brings intervention and assistance to help harmed (and often harmful) teams navigate to a place of civility, trust, and cooperative behavior.

"The small-group discussions with other attorneys were invaluable. A year later and we all still keep in touch."

Trial Counsel

Not sure whether coaching is the right entry point? Take the confidential self-assessment, built entirely on validated instruments, and bring your results to a discovery call.

Common Questions

Is coaching confidential?

Yes. Every engagement is confidential. The discovery call itself is confidential and carries no obligation.

How are coaches matched?

You are in control. Each client can select their own coach from our full roster, ask us for a recommendation or a match based on need, or try a single discovery call to make sure the coach is the right fit before committing.

Is this therapy?

No. Coaching is not therapy or medical treatment, and we say so plainly. It is evidence-based professional development grounded in the neuroscience of stress and trauma. When a clinical referral is the right move, our physician and psychologist faculty know how to say that too.

What does an engagement look like?

It starts with a discovery call, then a matched coach, then a defined engagement with clear goals. Individual and cohort formats are both available, virtually or in person.

Start with one confidential conversation

A discovery call is 20 minutes, free, and obligation-free. Tell us what is happening. We will tell you what would actually help, even if the answer is not us.
