Why a Credential, and Why This One
Lawyers work with traumatized people, in criminal courts, family courts, immigration proceedings, and civil matters built on the worst day of someone's life. A trauma-responsive lawyer understands what trauma does to a client's memory, disclosure, and decision-making, and what cumulative exposure does to the lawyer's own nervous system. That understanding changes outcomes: better client communication, better testimony preparation, better self-regulation under pressure, and a durable career.
The certification is not a weekend badge. It is built on the TIPC framework, an established credential created by physician faculty, adapted for legal practice, and backed by a faculty bench of attorneys, judges, physicians, and psychologists with CLE, ICF, and ACCME accreditation behind the training.
The Path to Certification
Trauma Mitigation Master Class (TMMC™)
Eight modules, 20 hours live online, capped at 16 participants so every seat is a working seat. Eligible for up to 22 hours of CLE credit per jurisdiction, including Wellness and EDI requirements, and additionally carries 22 ICF CCE credits, 8 Education credits, and 20 AMA PRA Category 1 CME credits. TMMC leads to TIPC or TICC certification. Next cohort: October 7, 2026.
