Continuing Legal Education

CLE Wellness Programs, Built on Neuroscience

Live-taught continuing legal education from physicians, judges, and attorneys, grounded in the neuroscience of cumulative stress. This live-taught seminar from subject matter experts may qualify for continuing legal education credit in your state; CLE approval varies by jurisdiction, so ask us about yours.

Wellness CLE That Earns Its Credit Hour

Most wellness CLE is an hour of platitudes. Ours is an hour of neuroscience. Every AWP program explains what chronic exposure to traumatic material and sustained adversarial stress does to the prefrontal cortex and the autonomic nervous system, and then teaches interventions that work because of how the brain actually responds to them.

The competence connection. ABA Model Rule of Professional Conduct 1.1 requires competent representation, and nearly every state has adopted its equivalent. Cognitive fatigue, intrusive stress responses, and burnout degrade the attention, judgment, and memory that competence depends on. Wellness is not separate from professional obligation. It is the substrate of it.

Common Questions

Are AWP programs accredited?

This live-taught seminar from subject matter experts, physicians, judges, and attorneys may qualify for continuing legal education credit in your state. CLE accreditation is granted state by state, not nationally; requirements and pre-certification rules vary, so ask us about your specific jurisdiction when you book.

Who teaches the programs?

Faculty who hold active professional credentials: attorneys, judges, physicians, and psychologists. They pair scientific and clinical depth with the lived experience of legal and high-consequence work.

Can you deliver CLE at our firm or courthouse?

Yes. Workshops run in person or virtually and are customized by practice area, from public defense to the bench.

What makes this different from typical wellness CLE?

The mechanism. Every program teaches the neurobiology of cumulative traumatic stress, then builds interventions on that science. Wellness is the outcome. Neurobiology is the mechanism.
